My Background

I began my career in admissions at Mount Saint Mary’s University as an admissions officer. While at the Mount, I gained experience working at a women’s college and worked with students from California, Washington, and Oregon. I also managed several campus programs for high school counselors, financial aid and scholarships, and onsite application days. After leaving the Mount, I took a position in the undergraduate admissions office at the University of California San Diego where I worked with both domestic and international high school and transfer students. I gained extensive experience in application evaluation and became a team leader, providing application review training for our evaluations team.
Their service is great, and my essays would not be where they are now without them. They helped me simplify my application [process]. I got into the colleges I wanted, too.

Why I Joined College Coach

My passion for higher education and helping students achieve their own educational goals brought me to College Coach. As an admissions officer, I read thousands of college applications and always hated to see missed opportunities on those applications. I enjoy helping students to showcase their talents and feel confident knowing they shared their authentic self with the admissions committees reviewing their applications. The college search and application process can feel overwhelming for families, and I am thankful to assist students at this exciting time in their educational journey.

Some of my favorite pastimes

One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is trying new coffee shops. I also enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors with my family, whether going to the beach or camping in the mountains. Testing out new recipes also brings me joy. I’m a messy cook and hate doing the dishes, but I love cooking for friends who are willing to pitch in with the cleanup.
