My Background

I joined Bright Horizons College Coach after spending several years in the undergraduate admissions office at Colorado College where I evaluated annually over 800 freshman, transfer, and international applicants for all 42 majors which included biology (pre-med), psychology, neuroscience, BSOC (Business, Economics and Society), and political science (pre-law). As the athletics liaison, I oversaw the athletics pre-review process for all incoming Division III student-athletes and worked with coaches and recruits for Division I Men’s ice hockey and women’s soccer. In addition, I hosted hundreds of admissions interviews and recruited international students from the United World Colleges, located across nine countries.

Prior to this, I was a senior admission counselor at the University of Northern Colorado, where I worked closely with first-generation applicants and helped develop a pathway program for students interested in starting at a community college before transferring into a four-year degree program.

[Bright Horizons College Coach] made the college process stress free and was very helpful! I got into my top school!

Why I Joined College Coach

As a first-generation college student, I didn’t have a lot of guidance in the admissions process. It was stressful and intense, but I scraped by and thankfully found a place where I could be successful. My professional experiences gave me the tools to understand the admissions process thoroughly and now I aim to be the trusted college advisor that I needed when I was 18 years old. Here at College Coach, I enjoy leveraging my own admissions expertise as well as that of my fellow colleagues, all seasoned admissions professionals, to be a trusted resource for students and families. I also appreciate that this work allows me to draw on the writing and editing skills I developed as a journalism major, using them to help students find their authentic voice and craft compelling, well-structured personal statements.

Some of my favorite pastimes

I’ve always been a fan of sports of all kinds, and I like to joke that I would watch a grass-growing competition if one existed. I enjoy data and statistics, so I love talking numbers in both college admission conversations and in sports. When I need to step away from the computer screen, I take advantage of the Colorado lifestyle and spend a fair amount of time hiking, paddleboarding, and playing with my dog, Mimi.
