My journey in college admissions began as the college advisor at Garden Grove High School, a public high school in southern California. In that role, I worked closely with students and families every day, guiding them through the complexities of college admissions and financial aid.
Later, as the Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at the University of Southern California. I expanded my experience and recruited, reviewed, and evaluated first-year and transfer applications for both admissions and scholarship consideration. Additionally, I had the privilege of hiring and training student ambassadors and conducting interviews for merit scholarships for the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences.
My daughter got into her top choice. The coach provided critical input on the essay, and had my daughter adapt what had been intended as a supplemental as her main essay.
I love staying active and creative. Practicing my morning yoga, catching (very small) waves on my surfboard, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow. I also love traveling and learning about new cultures, reading, and winding down with crochet projects. Sharing these experiences with the people I love makes them even more meaningful.
