My Background

I joined College Coach as part of the college financing team after more than two decades of experience working with multiple student loan lenders and financial aid offices, including as Director of Scholarships and Financial Aid at Loyola University New Orleans. In my different roles, I have assisted traditional undergraduate, law school, and medical school students in navigating the complex world of higher ed financial aid and paying for college. I’ve also been active in several aid administrators associations including TASFAA (Texas), LASFAA (LA), SWASFAA (Southwest), SASFAA (Southeast) and FASFAA (FL). I have a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in business communications.

Why I joined

Through my aid office and student loan experience, my focus has always been on helping families and schools with their paying for college deliberations, whether formally or informally. When my son, Eric, started his college search a few years ago, I was concerned and dismayed with the lack of readily available and useful information pertaining to school selection, aid availability, and college costs. I re-immersed myself in details to try to help Eric make the best decision for himself, and those efforts continued with friends’ and associates’ children. At College Coach, I am thrilled to continue in the role in which I’ve spent most of my professional career – helping families maneuver through the financial aid process and assisting with their paying for college questions.
