My Background

With 15 years of industry experience, my career in higher education administration began at the University of Oregon Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree. After earning my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration, I worked for state government employment services. However, my true calling led me back to my roots in student financial services. As the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, I supported the administration of student aid by managing a wide variety of operations. Some of these included processing aid applications, establishing cross-departmental partnerships, matching scholars to endowment funds, reconciling federal and state grants, and meticulously managing multiple funding streams for a diverse student population.
Excellent resource for us as a family and reduced the anxiety and complexity in a stressful and overwhelming application process.

Why I Joined College Coach

I joined Bright Horizons College Coach because it affords me the opportunity to work with clients pursuing a diverse range of colleges across the nation and internationally. Shifting my focus from a single institution to my current position has significantly expanded the depth and breadth of my expertise, requiring me to understand the varied financial aid practices, products, and funding strategies of numerous schools. I enjoy empowering students and families, helping them feel informed, prepared, secure, and confident as they navigate the process. Demystifying the complexities of the college financing landscape and bringing peace of mind to families has been the most rewarding aspect of my role as an education finance consultant within this talented network of educators.

Some of my favorite pastimes

I will take any opportunity I can get to spend quality time with my husband and daughter, whether dining out, visiting local attractions, or winning tickets at the arcade. I like to unwind with word games, puzzle games, and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Playing Wordle, Connections, and Strands on the New York Times Game app is part of my daily ritual. I love to travel, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures.
