My Background

I joined Bright Horizons full-time in 2025 after spending five years as a seasonal and part-time team member. I bring more than 38 years of experience in admissions and financial aid, helping students and families navigate the college admissions and financial aid process. Throughout my career, I have worked in Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Iowa, Scripps College, and Occidental College. I also served as Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Vistamar School, a private college preparatory high school in Los Angeles County. In addition, I worked as a financial aid consultant for various institutions throughout Southern California. As a first-generation college student, I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, where I was among the first Opportunity at Iowa Scholars. My background in admissions, financial aid, financial planning, and private school counseling allows me to provide practical guidance and support to families throughout the college planning process.

Prior to joining College Coach, I thought I was ready for retirement. I was encouraged by other College Coach counselors to join because it provided an opportunity to share my decades of experience in admissions, financial aid, financial planning, and private high school counseling. I enjoy helping families navigate the ever-changing landscape of college admissions and financial aid.
