When I was an undergraduate student at Providence College, I had no idea what I wanted to do when I “grew up”. I kept changing my major and was very indecisive regarding a career pathway. I worked on campus as a team manager for one of the athletic teams. As part of that position, I began tutoring some of the athletes and realized how much I enjoyed working with students. Upon graduation, this led me to immediately begin my master’s degree program in higher education administration. I was fortunate enough to land a graduate assistantship in the financial aid office on campus. My two years as a Graduate Assistant Financial Aid Advisor set the foundation for my financial aid career. I love helping families and the critical thinking aspect of financial aid. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work at a variety of types of schools; small private, large public flagship, local technical college, etc. I love that I am able to take all the knowledge and experiences I have gained over the years and have a positive impact on those going through the process today.
I am a busy mom of 2 kids and 2 goldendoodles. When I am not entertaining the crew, I enjoy traveling, shopping and working out. My husband and I enjoy watching professional sports together and watching our kids in their sports as well! Our weekends are typically filled with playground fun, a family trip to the gym and usually at least one family soccer game in the backyard. We enjoy being active and love to be outside when the Texas heat is manageable.
