My Background

I started my career as an admissions counselor for Johnson State College. Soon after that, I served as associate director at Drexel University, where I was also the athletic liaison between the admissions office and coaches. In addition, I spent a few years at Drexel working with transfer students, reviewing applications, and developing articulation agreements with area colleges. Moving to Swarthmore College, I served for eight years as an associate dean of admissions and again as the athletics liaison. My years at Swarthmore in what I call hyper-selective admissions is where I gained much of the experience I use to help me guide students in putting together the strongest application possible.
My daughter loved working with Kennon. He was insightful, patient and responsive... From a parent's point of view, knowing that he was guiding her also helped with my stress level.

Why I Joined College Coach

I joined College Coach because I love working with students and parents and the “I GOT IN!!!!!!” college acceptance texts. I enjoy helping families figure out what they need to do and to discover that this process is not as daunting as they thought. There also is so much misinformation that surrounds this process and distractions that can make the process less efficient; it is fun to help families parse fact from fiction and figure out what aspects of this process actually apply to them. I also love working with a team of such talented and dedicated colleagues that share information so readily and make the collective service we provide families so much better informed and timely than an independent counselor can. My experience as an admissions consultant at College Coach has been so rewarding that I’ve had the honor of working with 24 families (so far) where I’ve guided all of the siblings through the process.
