My Background

Before I joined the college finance team at College Coach, I was the associate director of financial aid at Babson College. Prior to my stint with Babson, I worked as an assistant director of financial aid at Berklee College of Music, MIT, and Boston University. I've spent most of my professional career working in financial aid and have assisted traditional undergraduates, adult learners, and master’s degree students in financing their educations. I have a master’s degree in human resource education, a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and a certificate in coaching.
Would definitely recommend College Coach…So many questions come up throughout and it really helps to have some you can trust to give good advice. The outcome couldn’t have been any better for [my daughter].

Why I Joined College Coach

At the beginning of my career, I accidentally fell into a financial aid position while I was working in admissions at Hesser College.  It was that experience that connected me with my true passion for helping families realize their dream of higher education through the financial aid process.  I am a first-generation college graduate, and my family floundered through the process and received bad advice. Now my purpose is clear: any day that I can prevent families from having a similar experience to mine is a day well spent! At College Coach, helping families overwhelmed by the college finance process has reconnected me to that purpose.

Some of my favorite pastimes

What do I do when I am not dropping financial wisdom on families?  I am a voracious reader, with an average book rate of around 300-400 books per year.  I tend to lean towards any type of fiction – depending on my mood.  I am also an avid quilter.  I started quilting about 20 years ago to spend more time with my mother and found that it is my most favorite form of meditating.  It is easy to get lost in each step which has a surprising side effect of clearing my mind.  I get to do both of these things when I am not otherwise engaged with my kiddos!  They have such energy and creativity that it is quite easy to get lost in their worlds!
