Former Senior Admission Officer Brown University

My Background

I joined College Coach after working at the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Brown University, where I evaluated thousands of applications for first-year and transfer students and acted as a member of the admission committee. In addition, I redesigned Brown's campus visit experience, planned student fly-in overnight programs, and organized admitted student programming.

Prior to Brown, I was a senior fellow and diversity, inclusion, and access intern in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Middlebury College where I hosted prospective student information sessions and answered questions on student life and admissions.

Throughout my admissions career, I have led numerous essay writing and college application workshops for prospective students and their families to better understand how to write an essay that resonates with an admission officer.

Great structure and expert knowledge we could not get ourselves.

Why I Joined College Coach

I understand firsthand how overwhelming the college process can feel without strong support. I attended a large public school in Hawaii, where college counseling resources were limited, and exploring my options often felt daunting. Even so, I ultimately chose a school across the country and moved from Hawaii to Vermont for college—a leap that taught me the power of guidance, self-discovery, and possibility. That experience inspired me to become the mentor I once needed: someone who helps students navigate their own paths, discover opportunities they may not have considered, and feel confident sharing their unique strengths and stories. My goal is to empower students to take ownership of their journey and approach the search process with clarity and self-assurance.
