My Background

I have worked with students in educational settings for two decades, as a classroom teacher, summer program director, and admissions officer. I came to College Coach after working in college admissions at Middlebury College for 11 years, most recently as an associate director of admissions. At Middlebury, I managed student recruitment and enrollment for many regions of the United States, which included reviewing and evaluating thousands of applications for first-year and transfer students and acting as a member of the admissions committee. I also served as an athletic liaison, working with coaches to support their recruiting goals through the admissions process. In addition, I coordinated admitted student events and loved meeting the students I’d come to know through their application and essays. Outside of the more typical admissions counselor roles, I managed the admissions office communication and marketing efforts and always made it a priority to help prospective students connect with current students.
The college application process felt like a positive journey and not a high school obligation. We will look back fondly at this experience and that is saying a lot!

Why I Joined College Coach

In my college admissions work, I love being part of this momentous time in a young person’s life. I find every opportunity to help students and families understand the exciting, and sometimes overwhelming, process of applying to college. I joined College Coach so that all of my work could be focused on providing this support for students and families. Through my work as a teacher and counselor, I understand the importance of keeping the student centered in this work. I love using my admissions knowledge and experience to answer questions, bust a myth or two, and help students discover more about themselves as they search for and apply to college. I aim to be a steady presence alongside students and families as they navigate the college process.
